Simon Smith appointed chief human resources officer at BMI Group

Roofing and waterproofing manufacturer BMI Group has appointed Simon Smith as its new chief human resources officer and a member of its executive leadership team.

Smith will lead the company's global people agenda, with a focus on organisational effectiveness, workforce transformation and leadership development.

Smith joins with nearly three decades of HR leadership experience across the industrial, automotive, manufacturing and engineering sectors. He most recently served as chief people officer at Aston Martin Lagonda.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
